TERROR SYNDROME To Record 'Surprise' Track Featuring ANNIHILATOR Singer
November 7, 2008TERROR SYNDROME, the Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada-based band featuring THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen, will enter the studio soon to record a "surprise" track featuring the group's latest addition, singer Dave Padden (ANNIHILATOR). The song will be included on the physical CD release of TERROR SYNDROME's self-titled debut album, which was made available digitally (through iTunes, Napster and Rhapsody) in July.
Commented Ryan in a posting on the band's MySpace page: "We know lots of you have downloaded the TERROR SYNDROME debut album for free off various BitTorrent sites and such. That's cool and all and we're glad you're diggin' the album. BUT... if you want us to get out and tour your city, we need your support by buying the album off of iTunes. This will result in more touring!!! Sales are good via iTunes but if they get even better, we can start thinking about touring outside of North America."
TERROR SYNDROME made its live debut on October 28 at the Tom Lee Music Hall in Vancouver as part of the Vancouver International Drum Festival presented by Tom Lee Music. A one-and-a-half-minute clip of the band's performance can be viewed below.
"Terror Syndrome" was mixed by Devin Townsend (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD) and was mastered by Greg Reely (DEVILDRIVER, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, MISERY SIGNALS, FEAR FACTORY).
Guest musicians on TERROR SYNDROME's debut CD include Alex Skolnick (TESTAMENT),Trevor Dunn (MR. BUNGLE, FANTOMAS),Devin Townsend (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND),Byron Stroud (FEAR FACTORY, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD) and Christofer Malmström (DARKANE).
